Easter markets Prague 2024

It is Easter time in Prague and then you will find the most beautiful Easter markets in Prague. The Easter market on the old town square has even been voted several times as the most beautiful Easter market in Europe and even in the world. Easter in the Czech Republic is not celebrated specifically as a religious holiday but more as the beginning of spring. On Maundy Thursday, which they call Green Thursday in the Czech Republic, they traditionally drink green beer. On Black Saturday, children walk through the streets and make a lot of noise with rattles to collect money or Easter eggs.
At the Easter markets you will find trinkets, local food such as Czech sausages, Trdelnik (even though it is not officially Czech, but very popular in Prague), but also foreign specialties such as French crepes.
