Düsseldorf: Essential walking tour - ES

Discover the historic heart of Düsseldorf in Spanish

From 1 euro
Düsseldorf: Königsallee

Tour description

During our essential tour of Düsseldorf, we explore the charms of the historic district and discover why this city is one of Germany's most important. Although Düsseldorf was reduced to ashes after the bombings of World War II, the city recovered and grew into a major economic engine for the country. The historical heritage is impressive. During our tour, we stroll through the Altstadt, the historic center, full of historical sights and an abundance of breweries, restaurants, and cafes. Some highlights of the tour include the Königsallee, a shopping street known for its international luxury shops, and the Triton Fountain, one of the city's most beloved monuments. Additionally, modern art enthusiasts can enjoy the K20 Museum, where masterpieces by artists such as Matisse, Picasso, Richter, and Beuys can be admired. Monument to the Elevation of the City: We look back at one of Düsseldorf's most important historical moments. This site commemorates the Battle of Worringen, as well as the ratification of the city statutes and the elevation of St. Lambert's Church. Old Town Hall: The Old Town Hall, located on the iconic Marktplatz, is one of the city's most important buildings. We admire the Baroque facade, the statue of William II, and the clock tower. You will discover all this and more during our free walking tour. And as a bonus after the tour, you will receive handy tools to discover Düsseldorf like a local: a map of public restrooms, food recommendations, ATMs, and even our personal “Black List” — yes, those places we’d rather advise against 😉 Everything carefully curated to make your stay easier, tastier, and more authentic. Highlights: ♥ Triton Fountain ♥ K20 Museum ♥ Stadterhebungsmonument (Monument to the Elevation of the City) ♥ Old Town Hall ♥ A historic Brauhaus (brewery) 💶 Price & Booking: There is no fixed price. At the end of the tour, you may tip your guide based on your experience (usually between €10 and €50). You can pay in cash in euros or by card. 🔁 Please note: A small technical fee of €1 applies to confirm your reservation. You can pay this online. Thank you for your understanding! ☂ How to recognize our guide: You can recognize our guides by a green and white umbrella with the "The Walkings" logo printed on it.
