The website www.i-love-walking.com and the internet services connected to it are provided to you by I Love Walking, ILW for short, with its registered office in Prague. The following policy applies to the protection of your privacy.
ILW guarantees, as far as possible, the protection of the privacy of every visitor to the website and any underlying mobile applications. This means that we also expect maximum effort from our partners in safeguarding and, where applicable, processing personal data.
Below you can read which personal data we process, what we do with it, within which legal framework this takes place and what you can do if you have any questions.
Processing of personal data
In the context of our services, ILW records data (name, place of residence and address, your telephone number, your e-mail address). ILW uses this data to perform the agreement concerned, for its other services and to keep customers informed about (new) products and services of ILW, of companies cooperating with it in a group, or of carefully selected third parties. In doing so, ILW tries to take your preferences into account. If you do not wish to receive information about (new) products and services, you can tell ILW in writing by e-mail at mail@i-love-walking.com with the subject “Address registration”. We will then block your data for this purpose.
Bookings and payments
When you book a tour we store your name, e-mail address, phone number (if you give it), the tour you booked and the number of people. We use this data to confirm your booking, to let you chat with your guide, and to share the details of your booking with the guide or company that runs the tour. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
Deleting your data?
We keep your data on a (protected) secure server. Would you like us to remove your data from our records? Then send us an e-mail at mail@i-love-walking.com. ILW will make sure your request is dealt with within 7 days.
Privacy policy of other websites
The website www.i-love-walking.com contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policy of these websites. For more information, please refer to the websites concerned.
Do you have any questions about our privacy policy?
Then send an e-mail to mail@i-love-walking.com. You can also contact this address if you have questions about your data or want to change it. We are happy to help.
Changes
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time without notice to anyone. You will, however, always find the most recent version on this page. We therefore advise you to check our privacy policy on this website regularly.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’ (text files placed on your computer) to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to keep track of how you use the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may provide this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not combine your IP address with other data held by Google. You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. Please note, however, that in that case you may not be able to use all the features of this website. By using this website you consent to the processing of information about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above.
Cookie policy
We use cookies on this website. A cookie is a simple small file that a website stores on your hard drive through your browser. A cookie contains stored information. For example, we use a cookie to remember what you have done before on this website, so that you do not have to do it again on your next visit.
Why do we use cookies?
- To make the website work better.
- To make the website easier to use.
- To measure whether visitors can easily find the information they want on our website.
Which cookies do we use on this website?
Persistent cookies
By using persistent cookies we make sure you do not have to repeat certain actions. We recognise the preferences you gave during an earlier visit to our website. This saves you time and makes the website more pleasant to use. You can delete persistent cookies through your browser settings.
Session cookies
We use session cookies during your visit; they are deleted automatically as soon as you close your browser. We remember which parts you look at during a visit and tailor our services to that.
Google Analytics cookies
Cookies are placed by Google through our website as part of the ‘Analytics service’. We use this service to track visitor behaviour and to receive reports on how visitors use our website. Based on this we can then improve the website. It is therefore not about remembering personal data, but about keeping track of your actions on the website.
Social media cookies
On our website you will find buttons with which you can promote our posts or web pages on social media (for example Facebook). These buttons work through pieces of code that come from the social media platforms themselves. Cookies are placed through this code. We have no influence over this. The social media platforms state in their privacy statements what they do with your data through the cookies.
Our own tracking cookies
We request a tracking cookie as soon as you visit a website from our network. This lets us find out that, besides our website, you have also visited the other website(s) in our network concerned. The profile built up in this way is not linked to your name, address, e-mail address and the like, but only serves to tailor advertisements to your profile, so that they are as relevant to you as possible.
Partner links
If you reach us through a partner link, we remember the code of that link for 30 days (with your permission), so the partner is credited for your booking.
Right of access, correction or deletion
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can contact us for this. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to identify yourself.
Enabling, disabling and deleting cookies
You can find more information about enabling, disabling and deleting cookies in the instructions and/or with the help function of your browser.
More information about cookies can be found on the websites of Cookierecht and the Consumentenbond (both in Dutch).
