I’m from Utrecht and have been leading these tours for over 5 years. Are you ready to meet a lovely group of people, discover Utrecht and sample traditional Dutch biscuits? We’ll start at the Dom and I’ll take you on a walk of about 1½ to 2 hours through Utrecht. You’ll make new friends, hear fascinating stories, see beautiful hidden spots and play fun games along the way. The Dutch weather: Ah yes, our weather… It can be a bit unpredictable at times – sunshine one minute, rain the next. But don’t worry, as there are plenty of places along the tour where we can stay dry. If rain is forecast, do bring an umbrella or a raincoat. Highlights: ♥ The Dom Tower and the church it’s attached to ♥ Canals and their upper and lower street levels ♥ A colourful tunnel full of changing lights and a hidden karaoke bar ♥ Vredenburg ♥ A statue of a man with a very unusual profession. You can guess during the tour! ♥ 3 hidden gardens ♥ A bar in a church (perfect for a drink or a bite to eat after the tour) ♥ An underground cycle park ♥ A house with a door that seems to be an illusion and tells a story about pretzels ♥ A peek inside a fairy-tale library ♥ A visit to Neudeplein, which you’ll also find in the Dutch version of Monopoly ♥ Tips for great restaurants and bars along the way And as an extra after the tour, you’ll receive handy tools to help you explore Utrecht like a local: a map with recommended places to eat, sights to see and even our personal ‘Black List’ — yes, those places we’d rather advise against 😉 All carefully curated to make your stay easier, more enjoyable and more authentic. 💶 Price & Booking: There’s no fixed price. At the end of the tour, you’re welcome to tip your guide based on your experience (usually between €10 and €50). You can pay in cash in CZK or euros (banknotes only), or by card. 🔁 Please note: A small technical fee of €1 applies to confirm your booking. You can pay this online or at the end of the tour.
