Discover kilometres of murals in Glasgow in Spanish
The free tour of Glasgow’s murals is a cultural and urban art tour. Glasgow’s murals lend a unique beauty to this former industrial city, which is now brimming with life, culture and diversity. Since the first mural was created in 2008, local artists and artists from all over the world living in the city have adorned kilometres of building façades. The Glasgow Panda, Billy Connolly, The Cheapest Taxi in the World and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Sorry! are just a few of the murals by artists such as Smug, Klingatron, Rogue One and Conzo & Globel, who now enjoy international recognition. We’ll discover some of their finest works on this tour of street art and modern culture. These murals are unique works of art that enrich the city centre and have a positive impact by adding colour and light to dull streets and lifeless alleyways, making Glasgow more attractive to both residents and tourists. During our tour, we’ll visit 10 of the most significant murals in Glasgow city centre. We’ll discuss the history behind each artwork and what they represent: Scottish irony, history, myths, legends, sport, humour and much more. What better way to discover the streets of this wonderful city than through its murals, its artists and its people!
