The tour begins at the Sigismund Column in Castle Square, the symbolic heart of Warsaw and the traditional meeting place for both locals and tourists. From here, you will explore the grounds of the Royal Castle and learn more about the rise of Warsaw as the capital of Poland. Next, you will walk through the UNESCO-protected Old Town, where you will stroll through charming cobblestone streets, admire colorful mansions, and visit the historic Market Square. Here, stories of merchants, kings, and daily life come to life, bringing the city's past to life. Along the way, your guide will explain how Warsaw was almost completely destroyed during World War II and how the historic center was rebuilt with great care after the war. The route also includes the medieval city walls and the Barbican, which provide insight into Warsaw's history of defense.
